Alexander (Sasha) Galitsky is a Managing Partner. He co-founded Almaz Capital in 2008, realizing his idea of the bridge VC fund. As the Managing Partner of Almaz Capital, he builds the fund’s strategy and sets its vision. Alexander manages team and processes, fundraising and investor relations. He is actively involved with fund’s portfolio companies, significantly impacting their growth.

Currently, Sasha serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Virtuozzo.

Alexander Galitsky is a well-known innovator, entrepreneur and investor in the USA and Europe. He was the President of the East Europe Tech Tours that took place in Warsaw (Poland), Sofia (Bulgaria) and Bucharest (Romania) in 2018 and 2019. He has been honored numerous times with different awards and nominations by Forbes, Venture Awards, EY, AllStars, etc.

Prior to Almaz Capital, Alexander made a series of successful private investments. His past and current investments include NavMaps (sold to TeleAtlas), Start Telecom, Magnifire, SJLabs, PGP, Parallels, Acronis, EverNote, among others. Sasha also currently serves as Institute Advisor in B612 Foundation.

Alexander has founded five successful high-tech companies: ELVIS+, TrustWorks Systems (sold to Hamsard), EzWIM (sold to TMT Ventures), ELVIS Telecom (sold to Telenor) and NPC ELVIS, all of which he led as CEO.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Galitsky served as one of the top Technical Executives at the Soviet Space Agency and Defense Industry. He pioneered Wi-Fi and Virtual Private Network technologies, as well as product development on the global market in partnership with Sun Microsystems. He has over 30 patents for numerous inventions.

Alexander holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in physics.

Today my interests are in great and slightly eccentric founders working on the cutting edge of technology.
