Analyst/ Associate at Almaz Capital

We are now looking for a new team member in our Berlin office.

We are looking for a team player who shares our enthusiasm for innovation and working with deep tech entrepreneurs from the earliest days. We look for candidates who are intellectually curious, have strong analytical and people skills and who can push our thinking. Candidates should have demonstrated a high level of initiative and dedication in a prior activity and have at least 2 years of work experience at the Analyst level and at least 4 years at the Associate level.

Job Description:

  • Participate in deal sourcing, analysis and due diligence. Formulate and present investment cases to our investment committee alongside Partners.
  • Assist Partners day to day, including with monitoring of financial and operational conditions of certain industries and regular reviews with management teams of existing investments.
  • Support the preparation of high-quality investor relations documents and social media content relating to both Almaz Capital and our portfolio companies.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or above from a top-tier university in STEM or top-tier MBA.
  • Minimum 2/4 years’ experience from either: bulge bracket IB, MBB consulting, direct investment or in a successful start-up / leading tech corporate.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions.
  • Great relationship management skills – networking, influencing, collaborating – and a proven ability to build trust with entrepreneurs and other organizational partners.
  • Native proficiency (or fluency) in German and English. Further CEE language skills and knowledge of the CEE region are desirable but not a requirement.
  • Having the requisite work permit for Germany is a requirement.
